City FC® offers its student-athletes individualized tutoring services as well as twice-weekly study sessions at a set time and location during the school year (currently Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Latin American Youth Center (LAYC) in Columbia Heights). Tutoring is provided in academic subject areas like math and English as well as college entrance exam preparation (SAT/ACT) and application essay writing. City FC’s® two academic coordinators, Tasnuva Kahn and Pritham Prabhakher, both assist in matching up students with tutors best suited to meet their needs. Futsal activities are available at Sherwood Recreation Center on Monday nights and Saturday afternoons year-round. Monday Night Futsal has a pick-up format while the Saturday session includes a skills clinic as well as scrimmage time. These events are run by City FC® volunteers.
